  • Present a valid national ID document that can be obtained with your full name, date of birth, gender, type, number, place, date of issue and expiry date;
  • In the absence of a valid identification document, the account can be opened with the authorisation of two witnesses;
  • You must also provide your home address, mobile phone number and NUIT.

For transactions made through electronic channels:

  1. The first three ATM and POS balance printouts per month within the country;
  2. The first three NUIB, NIB or IBAN printouts per month at an ATM or POS within the country;
  3. The first three printouts per month of mini-extracts and ATM or POS movements;
  4. The first two transfers per month up to a limit of 1,000.00 MZN (Thousand Meticais);
  5. The first three ATM or POS withdrawals per month within the country.

For an operation carried out over the branch counter:

Cash withdrawals up to a limit of 3,000.00 MZN (Three Thousand Meticais) per month.

Nationals, aged at least 18, who have identification documents permitted for opening a Basic account.

Each Customer may hold only one basic account in the national financial system and may not open any other type of current account. If you wish to have a conventional current account, you must request that the basic account be converted to a conventional account or that it be closed.
