The contribution in the health area has been to support the execution of projects that may contribute to a better quality of the Mozambican health system, through training directed at specialized technicians in the area, the provision of clinical services equipment or the provision of instruments suitable for the diagnosis and treatment of various illnesses.

2007

Donation of X-ray device

In 2007, in partnership with the bcp Foundation, an X-ray machine was offered to one of the main hospitals for the treatment of tuberculosis - Machava General Hospital.

Christmas party at Tete and Nampula hospitals

Participating in the parties held for children admitted to these hospitals has demonstrated the Bank's concern to be with the community and to create moments of happiness and hope, with a constant expression of appreciation for life.

2009

World Children’s Day

In 2009, the Bank held a garden party at the Maputo Central Hospital, so that the children could have a different afternoon with games, dances, contests and lots of entertainment. Millennium bim also offered a DVD player and animated movies to the Smile of the Child Association and a backpack for each of the children present.

2010

Machava General Hospital

In 2010, the Bank donated paediatrics nebulizers to this health unit, in addition to all the equipment for the recreation room for inpatients at the hospital.

 

2011

Mavalane General Hospital  

In 2011, the Bank offered this hospital educational materials and toys for the paediatric waiting room.
This donation comes from the need shown by the Hospital to improve the conditions of children during the waiting period, allowing them moments of relaxation and fun.



2013

Red Cross

In 2013, in order to support the population of Gaza as a result of the bad weather, Millennium bim, in partnership with the Mozambican Red Cross, developed a program of medical care and medications, sanitary and health conditions.

2014

Support for Maputo Central Hospital

In 2014, in partnership with the Millennium bcp Foundation, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Camões Institute for Cooperation and Língua I.P., a protocol was signed to support the treatment of cancer patients at Maputo Central Hospital, improving integrated care through the improvement of screening, diagnosis, treatment and recording of tumour diseases.
