In its first edition, the Millennium bim Race, began in the Triunfo District with the finishing line at the Bank's headquarters building, in downtown, a 10 km route. In its 2nd edition, the Millennium bim Race had a 10 km course and was attended by 300 athletes, distributed in five categories, namely young people, the general public, veterans, federated athletes and people with disabilities on tricycles.
In its 3rd edition, the Millennium bim Race saw collaboration from the Maputo Athletic Association and about 600 athletes took part, between them young people, veterans, federate athletes, the general public, people with disabilities on tricycles and people with disabilities in wheelchairs.
In its 4th edition, the Millennium bim Race featured about 800 athletes divided among young people, veterans, federate athletes, the general public, and people with disabilities on tricycles, covering about 15 km.
In its 5th edition, the Millennium bim Race began at Parque dos Continuadores with a distance of approximately 13 km to the Millennium bim headquarters building in downtown Maputo.
In its 6th edition, the Millennium bim Race, was attended by 600 people, distributed among federate athletes, people with disabilities on tricycles, young people, the general public, international athletes, and veterans I and II. The Mozambican Recycling Association (AMOR) was part of this edition, where it collected all the garbage left by the athletes during the race.
In its 7th edition, the Millennium bim Race, saw 282 athletes take part in a 13km course starting at Parque dos Continuadores until Independence Square. Upon arrival, music and shows awaited the great athletes.
The 8th edition of the Millennium bim Race was held, with the participation of 1,000 national and international athletes, during the 13 km course. This year, for the first time, all the athletes were covered by Personal Accident Insurance, offered by the insurer Ímpar.
The 10th edition of the Millennium bim Race was held with the participation of about 1,200 athletes, with the aim of fostering the development of the sport and contributing to the emergence of new sporting talents.
“Here I can achieve victories” was the premise that brought together over 1,000 athletes in the 11th edition of the Millennium bim race. The event, organized in partnership with the Maputo Athletics Association, brought together national and international athletes, as well as lovers of physical exercise.
Maputo once again hosted the 12th edition of the Millennium bim Race with a 13Km Race and 5km Walk, and was attended by 1,300 athletes, aged 14 to 70 years.
