Helpo Solidarity Race

More than 600 children, aged between 6 and 12 years old, participated in this race, where they travelled 60m, 80m and 600m. It was held in 7 cities: Maputo, Nampula, Pemba and Ilha de Moçambique, Oeiras and Vila Real (Portugal), and Sao Tome (Sao Tome and Principe). There were athletics and basketball matches followed by displays of taekwondo and rugby. In Maputo, the Helpo Association sponsored the collection and donation of trainers.

The event was held in four cities, Maputo, Nampula, Pemba, Ilha de Moçambique, Vila Real in Portugal and Sao Tome in Sao Tome and Principe. In Mozambique, the race was attended by about 600 children and was attended by the Portuguese triathlon champion and race ambassador Vanessa Fernandes. In addition to the race, there were also basketball, rugby and taekwondo matches.
